The Vineyards
Amazing wine starts with amazing grapes.
Meet our top quality partner vineyards throughout the Columbia Valley that we work with to proudly craft our wines.
The Connor Lee Vineyard was planted in the early 1980’s and acquired shortly after by Bill Connor and Rhody Lee. The vineyard is planted at the upper East end of the Wahluke Slope on sandy glacial marine sediments left by the Missoula floods of the Pleistocene.
The vineyard is noted for black currant and cassis notes in its Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Les Collines (“The Foothills”) Vineyard is aptly named. Located at the foot of the Blue Mountains, and adjacent to the Oregon border, the site is one of the most picturesque in Washington. The soils here are deep wind blown Loess (pronounced “luss”). This site was also developed by Norm Mckibben and partners.
We are excited about the strong site expression of coffee, bitter chocolate, and meaty flavors we are finding to be common to both the Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Planted in the mid 1970's in part by the now defunct Languth Winery, the Weinbau Vineyard is today part of the renowned SBDW (Sagemoor, Bachus, Dionysius, Weinbau) consortium, and represents some of the oldest vines in the State.
Located at the East edge of the Wahluke Slope" American Viticultural Area, the Weinbau vineyard provided us much needed high quality Merlot and Cabernet Franc during the freeze year of 2004. The silver lining to this unfortunate weather event was the discovery that Weinbau fruit is too good to give up!
We retained a long term contract on both blocks which contribute to our Merlot cuvee, as well as our "right bank style" blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot that we call Cedarosa. Onsite management is by the extremely gifted Miguel Rodriguez.

TWe source two white varietals, Semillon and Pinot Gris, from the Inland Desert vineyard which is located on the Roza Slope of the Rattlesnake Hills near Benton City.

The Pepper Bridge Vineyard was developed by Norm Mckibben in 1991. It is located near the Walla Walla River on fine sandy loam soils. The vineyard is now owned by Premier Partners Group and is managed by Tom Waliser.
Our blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot were planted in 1999. This vineyard is noted for the herbal mint and sage nuances in its fruit.

Planted in the 1980's by Roy Dodson, Rosebud Vineyard has a long tradition of growing fruit for some of Washington's largest wineries. Recently more and more small wineries have begun to notice the quality of the Dodson family's fruit. The next generation, including Roy's son Chip and son-in-law Matt Hyndman, have diversified the focus of the farm to include more acreage contracts like those that we utilize.
The Dodson's Semillon is widely regarded as being among the finest in the state. The location on the Wahluke slope, high on the South side of the Saddle Mountains, was an ideal place to re-plant our block of Nebbiolo after the neighboring and previous vineyard site of our Nebbiolo block sold. Rosebud Vineyard's long frost free period and warm site are also ideal for Malbec which we additionally contract from the Dodson's.
