Planted in the mid 1970's in part by the now defunct Languth Winery, the Weinbau Vineyard is today part of the renowned SBDW (Sagemoor, Bachus, Dionysius, Weinbau) consortium, and represents some of the oldest vines in the State.

Located at the East edge of the Wahluke Slope" American Viticultural Area, the Weinbau vineyard provided us much needed high quality Merlot and Cabernet Franc during the freeze year of 2004. The silver lining to this unfortunate weather event was the discovery that Weinbau fruit is too good to give up!

We retained a long term contract on both blocks which contribute to our Merlot cuvee, as well as our "right bank style" blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot that we call Cedarosa. Onsite management is by the extremely gifted Miguel Rodriguez.
