Spicy Ginger Lettuce Wraps

  • 1# ground turkey
  • 1 red bell pepper diced fine
  • 2 garlic clove, minced
  • 2 Tbs minced ginger
  • 1 Tbs Thai garlic chile sauce
  • 1 Tbs Asian fish sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 Tbs plus 1tsp grapeseed oil, divided
  • 1 8oz can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
  • 2 scallions thinly sliced
  • 2 Tbs oyster sauce
  • 2 Tbs cilantro, chopped
  • Boston Lettuce leaves, washed and dried

Cooking Instructions

In a bowl, mix turkey with bell pepper, garlic, ginger, chile sauce, fish sauce, sesame oil, 1 TBS of grapeseed oil. water chestnuts, scallions, and oyster sauce.

Heat remaining 1 tsp of grapeseed oil in large wok or skillet unitl shimmering. Add turkey mixture and cook over high heat until cooked through and starting to brown.

Stir in water chestnuts, scallions, oyster sauceand cilantro. Remove from heat. Serve in bowls, allowing guests to wrap spoonfuls into lettuce leaves and roll up and eat. Pair with a chilled glass of Lost River's Pinot Gris
