2010 Heart and Soul (Champoux Vineyard Cabernet)
Limit: 4 bottles per customer.
This wine is made from grapes donated by legendary winegrower Paul Champoux, to the Washington Wine industry foundation. One ton of Cabernet Sauvignon from the famed old block was purchased at auction by our winemaker in 2010. Seeking to further the impact of this charitable gift, Lost River Winery will donate 50% of all gross revenue from sale of this wine to support uncompensated care at Seattle Children’s Hospital.
The name “Heart and Soul” is a tribute to Dr. Beverly C. Morgan, MD, winemaker John Morgan’s mother. Dr. Morgan was a pediatric cardiologist who worked to affiliate the University of Washington Medical School and Children’s Hospital, and became Chief Pediatrician at Children’s in 1978.
